paper doll

hello gypsies and welcome back to the authentique paper blog. i am very excited to share my new little friend with you today. she's only 8" tall, and crafted with our new "delightful" collection. and she is delightful!

her bodice is covered in tiny hand-spun roses tipped with walnut distress ink. her skirt is created with layers of hand-washed papers - yep! i got the paper that i go completely wet, then crumpled it into balls, then uncrumpled and let dry until damp but not completely dry. the result is a fabric to mold and shape, tear and scrunch.
be sure to keep visiting - especially with CHA coming (craft & hobby association tradeshow for those of you new to the caravan). there'll be lots of beautiful and inspiring projects to see as i make my first pilgrimage to crafting nirvana!
